Ridge Augmentation

The jawbone supports and retains our teeth, but when teeth are lost, the body begins to resorb the bone in those areas. This typically results in a loss of bone width followed by a reduction in bone height. If there is insufficient bone width for implant placement, a bone augmentation procedure can help. This procedure is akin to opening a closed book to create more space; similarly, we can expand the jawbone to provide enough width for placing an implant.
